It's no surprise that pet owners new and old struggle to find the correct pet food. When shopping online or even visiting a large pet store, there are just so many options. They all seem to be using the same marketing words: Premium, Choice, Complete nutrition, Tasty, Omega 3, Omega 6. The pet food your vet recommends and the supermarket pet food you see have a huge difference in price. When you're on a tight budget, with all the food appearing to be the same, what's the difference?

The truth is that discount pet food brands are actually more expensive per serving than many of the higher priced brands. Yes, you understood correctly! The reason for this is found on the back of the pet food, when looking at the feeding instructions and the ingredients in the pet food.

Our pets are all different, the amount of food they eat can vary day to day, depending on age and how active they are. If you follow the feeding instructions, you will be amazed at the difference in quantity that your pets will need when being fed on cheaper brands.

Oasy Adult Large Premium Pet Food 12kg €42.24.

Oasy: approx. 400g per day.

Cheap Brand: Approx 700g per day.

Oasy cost per day: €1.4

Cheap Brand cost per day: €1.54

So as you can see, a 12kg Premium dog food of Oasy Large is actually a cheaper pet food per day than the cheaper brand! If you then compare the ingredients and the long term affects and costs of feeding your pets cheaper brands, it's quite easy to see, premium pet food in Cyprus is actually cheaper per day!

Think about this: IF for an entire month you decided to live on nothing but chips, how many bags of chips would you need to eat per day to feel full and get the minimum amount of nutrition you need? Pet food is the same! In premium pet food, everything your pet needs is available in one bowl!
